The ROTA Network is a virtual community of researchers, educators, practitioners, and concerned citizens across the United States, especially those living in Maryland. This Network offers a forum to share and discuss information about emerging trends in opioids, latest opioid prevention and treatment resources, and research and current programs being implemented in rural areas. You will gain access to experts in the field and learn what is happening in Maryland concerning opioid prevention and treatment. You can view archived posts, and participate by posting to the forum via the web site, email or a smartphone app.
The ROTA network is operated by the University of Maryland College Park’s Center for Substance Abuse Research (CESAR) as part of the CESAResearch Network, a virtual community of more than 1,900 practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and others working to understand and address the continuing drug crisis. The ROTA network was originally developed in partnership with the National Drug Early Warning System (NDEWS) Coordinating Center (NCC) which was launched and managed by CESAR with funding from the NIH National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) from 2014 to 2020.
