Opioid Response

Opioid Response

There have been varied approaches across the country and within Maryland to address the growing occurrence of opioid use and associated challenges. In Maryland, an executive order was signed by Larry Hogan on March 1, 2017, declaring a state of emergency in response to the opioid epidemic. Maryland has allocated $50 million in new funding and initiated their Before It’s Too Late campaign to combat it. There are organizations across the country and state working to fight the opioid crisis. The ROTA team aims to provide a comprehensive approach through the use of Botvin LifeSkills Training, Mental Health First Aid training, webinars, and more.
